About the role

We are seeking the skills of a Book-keeper / Financial Accountant for a full time role based in our Perth Office (in Myaree). Working with the admin and finance team and reporting to the CEO, you will be tasked with playing a critical role in managing all facets of the finance function within the businesses. The role includes bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, data analysis, performance reporting and support in strategic planning.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of the accounting and finance function including AP, AR, payroll, month end procedures, compliance and taxation.
  • Possess strong data analysis skills and have an attention to detail ensuring the integrity of financial data is maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and maintaining responsibility for meeting all statutory obligations.
  • Provide timely reporting and regular commentary around variance to budgets and forecasts, to management.
  • Being involved in inventory control including developing and maintaining accurate product costs.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties including work-cover annual returns, insurance renewals, etc.

Requirements

Minimum of three years experience:
  • as a Senior Bookkeeper or Finance Manager;
  • in managing cashflow/FX risk, annual budgeting and monthly reporting processing;
  • in developing, and implementing processes and systems around the accounting function;
  • in demonstrating talents in good time management, being result oriented, being able to work autonomously and can pay great attention to detail;
  • being a point of contact with external consultants, including software consultants, insurance brokers, IT support and external accountants;
  • have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment;
