The team establishes internal credit ratings and counterparty limits for the portfolio. CRM's mandate is two-fold (1) Loan Underwriting / Transaction Approval: Initial review and approval of loan and traded product exposure (2) Portfolio Management: Ongoing monitoring (quarterly / annually) of loan and traded product exposure on CS's books.

Primary responsibilities include:
    Manage EMEA New Business CoordinationTeam management Enforcement of credit policies and control frameworksAd-hoc investigation of Credit Exposure figures and calculationsAnalysis and investigation of the daily exception reports and compilation of credit limit breachesAnalysis of credit risk system data feedsAssistance in preparation of data feed specifications and the running of user tests for system changesProduction of and commentary on regular reporting for the credit risk and business unit managementReview of regulatory reports for accuracy and completenessProduction of ad-hoc and recurring Credit Risk ReportsCollaboration with our global credit management teams in New York, London, and Asia

Remote Working? N/A - pending TWWW agreement Your skills and experience The Global IB Credit Control team is seeking a Vice President to join the Credit Control team in London. The Credit Control Officer will have specialist knowledge to cover new risk projects and responsibility for the management and coordination of EMEA New Business. The role will have a small team of direct reports, and you will be required to support EMEA based credit officers to maintain a robust credit risk monitoring and control environment in accordance with Global CRM policies and procedures. The role requires regular contact with various teams from back-office and front-office departments (IT, Margin Services, Legal), as well as a keen interest in learning about credit risk management methodologies and concepts (e.g. credit ratings, exposure netting, limit setting, regional policies for credit approvals, legal documentation, etc).

Requirements for the role include:
    A graduate degree in finance, administration, economics or in a similar discipline, or equivalent work experience; extensive experience in financial industry, ideally in a control type of roleKeen interest to get in-depth understanding of credit risk management practicesExperience of managing a team and co-ordinating deliveriesHigh attention to detail, have a strong appreciation of controls and be capable of applying control principles to a wide variety of situationsGood interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of financial products traded by investment banksDemonstrated experience at managing senior stakeholdersAbility to effectively prioritise tasks and manage conflicting prioritiesProven ability to implement and monitor operational controlsEffective at working in teams
