Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

** Superb opportunity to join the executive team of a fast-growing, lower mid-market company targeted to hit $100m sales in the next five years **

** Please note that Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry experience essential**

£110K-£130K base plus package

Our client is a global, market leading challenger in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Customer Experience (CX). They are seeking an experienced, ambitious Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take over the control of the company's finances and help steer them through their next level of growth.

This unique opportunity provides an excellent platform for someone who has experience within the BPO sector either as:

  • A Senior Financial Director in a larger company that is looking to transition into a CFO role for a smaller, fast-growing business, or;

  • An experienced CFO who is looking to transition away from a larger company into a smaller, more entrepreneurial business.

Although this is a UK based role, you will be working cross Atlantic and dealing with subsidiary companies in the North American, European and Asian markets.

The Role

As CFO you will be responsible for sound financial analysis, reporting and forecasting, helping the CEO and leadership team to make key decisions based on accurate financial data. You will be working with budget owners across multiple territories, helping them to create and deliver realistic, localised budgets.

Using your BPO sector experience, you will be able to confidently structure contracts and project margins/profitability accordingly. A key part of this role will be providing strong support to the executive team, particularly in advising on capital budgeting and how the balance sheet might change over time through JV's, equity, and investment.

We are ideally looking for someone with experience in the world of BPO, who has managed complex P&L's between £50m - £150m across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate will have operated at this scale yet will have an understanding and appreciation of smaller organisations who are on this trajectory.

A key part of the role will be helping the leadership team to bring new international subsidiaries into the company's fold, and they will have an understanding of local payroll systems and tax structures.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for you to take full ownership of the global financial function of an established yet fast growing challenger business in the BPO world, using your business acumen and foresight to drive it to further commercial success.

Key responsibilities as CFO include:

  • Solid financial analysis, forecasting and reporting at both a consolidated and subsidiary level across multiple regions and currencies.
  • Working with local budget owners to create and deliver realistic forecasts and targets.
  • Advising on local tax structures and payroll systems.
  • Supporting and guiding balance sheet changes including JV's, equity investment, debt and capital budgeting.
  • Working closely with the CEO and COO to utilise opportunities and continue their growth trajectory.

Key requirements include:

  • Strong experience in BPO
  • Proven experience of managing complex P&L's between £50m-£150m across multiple geographies.
  • Proven experience working with local budget owners and helping to drive performance.
  • Experience bringing international subsidiaries into the fold of the company and working with local tax/payroll structures.
  • Experience with partial or full equity buy-outs in the £100m-£150m range a bonus.
