Group Finance Director for a leading Financial Services firm based in North West London. Commutable from locations such as Slough, Marlow, High Wycombe, Henley-on-Thames, Maidenhead, Hayes, Reading, Berkshire etc.

Currently a dynamic Finance Director or Financial Controller within the Insurance / broker industry or from a highly regulated Financial Services organisation looking to make the move to Group FD.

This is a #2 role reporting directly to and supporting the CFO on areas that span; regulation, integrations, due-diligence on acquisitions and the day to day running of the Finance department.

You will be responsible for:

• The finance department of a busy insurance firm providing support & guidance to the finance team (circa 30 people) upskilling and training/developing the team where required.
• Involvement in due-diligence of potential future acquisitions from a Finance & commercial perspective and the seamless integration of Finance teams.
• Group consolidated balance sheets.
• Group Financial control & ensuring all day to day reporting is conducted by the department.
• Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met across the business.
• Treasury matters including maintaining relationships with third parties such as banks, private equity / venture capital and audit firms.
• Producing the monthly management accounts including variance analysis, board commentary & updating forecasts.
• Striving for operational excellence whilst maintaining internal & external relationships.

You:

• Professional Finance qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA,) etc
• Significant experience leading a Finance department in an Insurance / regulated FS business.
• Strong regulatory understanding and exposure.
• Strong team leader who is an excellent communicator.
• Strong accounting/finance systems proficiency.
