Renumeration: £4,000 pa plus travel expenses
Time Commitment: 14 days collectively throughout the year. Comprised of board meetings, committee meetings, strategy days and preparation for each.
This position, along with the existing board will be responsible for the effective governance of CCHA, managing key risks and ensuring that the organisation remains aligned to their strategic objectives.
For this post, we're looking for a suitably qualified accountant to join CCHA's skills-based board. You will also serve on CCHA's Audit committee and will actively contribute to the effective oversight of the organisation's finances. You don't have to have previous board experience, but you should understand the role of the board, your own responsibilities and be committed to seeing a better CCHA.
Board
Responsibilities:
1 Ensure effective oversight of all CCHA operations & add value to CCHA's mission
2 Ensure tenants have a direct link to Board and tenants' voices are heard at Board level
3 Live CCHA's values and ensure they're embedded across the organisation
Equality & Diversity:
Whilst we've made great progress to improve the diversity of our organisation, we're aware there is more to be done to ensure that our leadership represents the communities that we serve, therefore we would particularly encourage those from diverse backgrounds or with protected characteristics to apply so we can use your unique perspective to improve our organisation and sector.
CCHA's main aim is to appoint people who care and are passionate about how CCHA can deliver its commitments to communities across Cardiff. If that sounds like you, we would be delighted to hear from you and tell you more about their plans and vision.
For further information please visit Acorn's website, where you'll find a welcome from CCHA's Chief Executive and key documents to provide additional background.
To apply, please submit an up-to-date copy of your CV and a consultant from Acorn will be in touch to discuss the next steps further.
