- Expirence working in CRO or pharmaceutical sector
Responsibilities of the Director of Global Tax
- Responsible for managing highly complex tax related planning projects, including domestic and international direct and indirect taxation.
- The position will require interaction with the tax team, corporate accounting group, financial analysis, local controllers, and external service providers.
- Manage compliance and documentation for quarterly and annual domestic and international tax reporting,
- Proactively work with corporate accounting group and local controllers to obtain data to be provided to external advisors for tax reporting
- Responsible for, but not limited to, all calculation of tax provisions and liabilities, tax research, reporting, compliance, planning and strategy, policy, and budgeting.
- Analyze and calculate taxable distributions and provide other analysis in connection with cash repatriations
- Identify and implement process improvements associated with the international portion of the U.S. income tax returns and provision
- Provide functional expertise in domestic international tax law; researching and applying relevant information to the organization
- Interface with senior corporate and business unit leaders to develop and implement strategies, which minimize tax liability of the Company
- Perform research and analysis related to new business initiatives as well as lead or support projects to improve tax processes and enhance efficiencies
- Serve as the principal liaison with third party tax consultants on various tax matters as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, or an equivalent (master's strongly preferred)
- 12+ years of direct tax expirence
- Prior industry expirence in CRO or pharmaceutical
- Expirence working in a global organization
