Purpose of this role
The Assistant Accountant plays a pivotal part in directing the performance of the Agencies we work with, and this role is a key cog in the finance machine with its core centred on revenue. Billing and getting revenue in the door; assessing, analysing and reporting on it informatively are key responsibilities.
Responsibilities

* Work with JCRs (Job Cost Reports) to raise Client billings within deadlines. This includes approximately 6 full days of processing & analysis on a job-by-job basis during billing week
* Work closely with Account Service staff and Finance Manager to ensure billings are accurate, timely, client focused and maximize revenue
* Ensure prompt resolution of client billing queries with account management
* Prepare forecasting spreadsheets for Account Service
* Set-up and maintenance of Pegasus rate cards, estimates, timesheet users, clients
* Ensure internal processes and controls are in place and effective to minimise overdue balances (e.g. client purchase orders)
* Monitor the Debtors Ledger and ensure it is up to date and accurate at all times.
* Print and distribute pro-forma invoices, making alterations as required, and distributing final client invoices
* Prepare pre-bills and credit notes

Requirements

* Spread sheet proficiency.
* Attention to detail and a can-do attitude
* Ability to manage stress & pressure to achieve deadlines.
* Displaying a positive and supportive team attitude.
* Completed, or partly completed relevant qualification.
* Experienced with accounting software, especially in a job costing environment
