Client Details
The client is the oldest tailor and robe maker in London with two sites in the centre. They have been established since 1689 and offer great company infrastructure for all employees.
Description
The successful Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Accruals and prepayments
- Invoicing factory production and posting journals for internal stock transfers
- Maintenance of stock/WIP records
- Variance analysis of production costs vs transfer prices; analysis of production volumes
- Variance analysis of overheads
- Account for stock transfers to and from external factory. Reconcile stock figures for external factory.
- Prepare annual budgets for production, photography lab - P&L, stock movements and cash flows.
- Provide assistance to operational managers in preparation of budgets
- Stock taking and valuation
- Prepare monthly P&L and cash flow forecasts
- Post cash receipts and payments, purchase invoices
- Review sales invoices posted by admin department
- Perform weekly bank reconciliation
- Review inter-company postings
- Prepare management accounts for one subsidiary
- Assisting the preparation of the management accounts for E&R
Profile
The successful Management Accountant will possess the following:
- Experienced Accountant preferably with knowledge of stock transactions and production
- Good academic qualifications
- Good I.T skills including intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel - pivot table's and VLookup's and similar functions
- Experience of Microsoft Navision Preferable but not essential
- Flexible and adaptable
- Professional image
