Job Details

The Finance Manager (who reports into the Head of Finance) will be responsible for all aspects of transactional finance activity including accounts receivable, accounts payable, journals and will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis, as well as the preparation of the statutory financial statements.

Client Details

New business based in Warwickshire with significant growth plans.

Description

· Processing invoices, raising sales invoices, month end journal posting, bank postings, credit control etc

· Production of VAT returns and other HMRC returns

· Updating cashflow forecasts

· Timely closing of monthly accounts, the production of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

· Preparation of statutory accounts and key point of contact for the external auditors

· Supporting the production of budget and quarterly forecasts

· Uploading UK forecasts and annual budgets into Cognos reporting system

· Working with UK accounting team to ensure continuous improvement in processes

· Preparing status reports on departmental and group overheads

· Co-ordinating cost allocation splits for group recharges

· Assisting Head of UK Group Finance at tcc with relevant accounting and reporting matters

· Working on R&D tax credits claims, where applicable annually

· Any other ad-hoc activity as requested by the Head of Finance

· On time production of monthly management accounts

· On time submission of group reporting

· Provision of accurate and timely data on cost centres

Profile

A Qualified Accountant with several years' experience or somone qualified by experience able to demonstrate the following:

· Demonstrable practical experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-moving and high growth environment

· A can-do attitude - essential in a small team with shared responsibilities

· Excellent understanding and practical experience of performing full reconciliations and analysis

· Consistent attention to detail and accuracy of work

· Good organisational skills and effective time management skills

· Strong communication skills

· Strong systems knowledge including experience in deploying new systems and standardising ways of working

· Strong Excel modelling skills

· The ability to self-manage and prioritise

· A start up mentality and ability to take on additional tasks when the need arises

· Enthusiastic and personable character
