The Role

As an Assistant Finance Analyst you will support the Senior Finance Analyst with the delivery of reports and the continuous improvement of the reporting suite. This varied role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with agile working 50% office based in Burton-on-Trent and 50% from home (or from one of our pubs if you'd prefer!). It truly is an exciting time to join this newly formed team where you will support and deliver consistent reporting, governance and control across our managed pubs estate as Greene King embark on a business wide transformation programme.

Key Accountabilities

· Support the Senior Finance Analyst in the delivery of reporting and analysis to the business, ensuring key commercial information is communicated effectively in order to aid understanding and support decision making.

· Provide accurate, timely weekly/periodic reporting, to Finance and the wider business, for both regular KPI and ad-hoc activity.

· Identify areas to enhance and improve the effectiveness of existing processes and report automation.

· Regularly review processes and reporting suite to improve accuracy and efficiency and drive a continuous improvement culture.

· Assist the Senior Finance Analyst in ensuring that all business decisions have financial integrity and investigate associated risks and opportunities.

· Ad-hoc projects, analysis and insight as requested by the business

Required Skills and Experience

Ideally, you will have some experience in a financial analysis role and may be part CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (study support available), although we will also consider recent graduates looking to start a finance career. You will also demonstrate the following skills:

  • Strong IT skills with a passion for technology - specifically, you will need intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VBA and/or exposure to BI tools desirable)
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems
  • A proactive 'can do' approach
