Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

This would include providing support and guidance to our customers, colleagues and partners along with performing the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. Successful candidates will be required to complete an administrative background screen as part of the onboarding process.

Job Details

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferred
  • Construction, manufacturing or job cost experience required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of accounting including: US GAAP, forecasting, budgeting, federal and state regulations, sales and use tax, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements including reconciliation of accounts and consolidation of statements
  • Supervise accounting staff in daily, weekly, monthly duties and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for oversight of full cycle General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Reviews data contained in the general ledger, sub-ledgers and other financial systems to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of recorded financial transactions.
  • Onboards and/or approves vendors, contractors and service providers by verifying company and contract information.
  • Processes and maintains sales and use tax for multiple states
  • Maintains fixed asset and depreciation records
  • Oversees accounting for inventory, allocations and reconciling
  • Performs month-end closing duties. Analyzes accounts, and researches problems. Takes ownership of responsibilities and strives to improve processes and meet deadlines
  • Provides input on staff roles, department workflow and collaborates with division personnel
  • Ensures year end 1099's, W-2s and other compliance forms are filed timely
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Reviews and approves vendor invoices, credit memos and other impacts to vendor or customer accounts brought forth by accounting team in coordination with the Portfolio Controller.
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of the system of internal controls, identifying areas of weakness and reports findings to the Finance Director.
  • Other duties as assigned and necessary.

  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and a variety of accounting software platforms (Timberline, Viewpoint, Quickbooks, Spreadsheet Server, Concur)
