The Financial Accounting and Fixed Assets Manager based with this global retail business based in the Birmingham area is responsible for the management of Record to Report, cash management and Fixed Assets accounting and must be PART QUALIFIED/FINALIST - actively studying towards a professional qualification.

Description

The Financial Accounting and Fixed Assets Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead the operational accounting and financial reporting duties in providing excellence associated with the end to end process of Record to Report (GL), Cash Managment and Acquire to Retire activities (Fixed Assets)
  • Manage escalated issues and support managers with all necessary reporting elements
  • Ensure complete compliance with accounting policies, timely and accurate delivery of responsibilities, including reconciliation and month end deliverables
  • Lead, manage and support the team with recruitment, development, performance conversation and providing frequent feedback.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues both within Finance and across the wider business, developing strong relationships built on trust, curiousity and resilience

Profile

To be successful in this challenging fast paced Financial Accounting and Fixed Assets Manager role you will need to be ACTIVELY studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA), have expertise in managing General Accounting and Fixed Asset activities, possess strong organisational/Leadership Skills - proficient at working both on own and prioritise tasks with supervising others, attention to ensuring service delivery excellence. A High level of accuracy, and attention to detail. Experience with Finance Transformation and Oracle implementations or other ERP/Cloud systems would be highly desireable
