What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Perform and supervise month-end treasury and cash management close activities
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, etc.)
  • Complete P&L, Balance Sheet and G/L account analysis
  • Conduct and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supervise, train and develop staff accountants; interact with multiple departments including Treasury, Tax, IT, Finance and Operations
  • Ensure SOX compliance
  • Lead process documentation, simplification and enhancement efforts
  • Handle team and corporate accounting processes

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years relevant accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables and use VLOOKUP

It'd be great if you also have:
  • Public accounting and/or CPA experience
  • Experience in treasury cash management, debt, derivatives and intercompany accounting
  • Experience with related systems such as Oracle, HFM, Blackline, Coupa and Close Manager
  • Experience in the logistics and transportation industry
