The Tax Reporting Analyst is responsible for serving as a state and federal withholding subject matter expert. Will analyze system withholding transactions for accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Will also reconcile and file form 941, 945 and 1042 data, serving as a Taxport SME and training resource.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

The Tax Reporting Analyst is responsible for serving as a state and federal withholding subject matter expert. Will analyze system withholding transactions for accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Will also reconcile and file form 941, 945 and 1042 data, serving as a Taxport SME and training resource.
What you will do
- Reconcile and file tax reporting data to ensure accurate production of recipient and/or government level tax reporting
- Maintain data integrity in front-end and/or back-end tax reporting databases and spreadsheets
- Provide training and updates to system users and programmers relative to tax reporting rules and regulations
- Respond to customer service tickets relative to tax reporting questions, procedures, and issue resolution
- Reconcile withholding liability in general ledger to withholding payment system and bank accounts
- Complete daily departmental offsetting and balancing processes
- Complete manual withholding payments
- Provide monthly report to management GL balance, outlining issues, resolutions and concerns
- Review returned tax form mail and forward to responsible departments
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3+ years' experience in the financial services industry
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple deadlines and strict deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and communication skills
