Come join our team! PrimePay currently has an opening in our fast-paced payroll tax department for a Mid Quarter Tax Associate. Our payroll tax department supports our nationwide payroll service teams.

The Mid Quarter Tax Associate is a position for someone who can problem solve, communicate well in oral and written form, multi-task and learn on the go. Primary responsibilities would be in agency notice resolution, working with agencies and clients to resolve tax issues and amended returns, creating and filing corrected tax returns for our clients. The position also includes quarter end tax return reconciliation and agency filings and utilizing various electronic methods as needed.

The Mid Quarter Tax Associate will be responsible for various functions including, but not limited to:
  • Reconciling data
  • Balancing payroll benefit deductions to escrow and benefit accounts
  • Researching agency notices
  • Interfacing with service representatives, clients, and agencies
  • Communicating via e-mail, phone, letters, and through our ticket system
  • Processing client payroll tax transactions
  • Electronic ACH debit or payment processing
  • Amending tax forms
  • Routine internal auditing
  • Maintaining and balancing clients' accounts using QuickBooks software
  • Reconciling various banking transactions on a daily basis
  • Problem research and resolution
  • Assisting with daily, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax return reconciliation and processing

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field (strongly recommended)
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Experience in various aspects of payroll tax processing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient and effective multi-tasking skills
  • Strong analytical and auditing skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work overtime when needed
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
