Finance Apprentice

ActiveOps has its headquarters in central Reading with subsidiary businesses in Australia, Africa, US, Canada, India & Ireland.

This role will report into the Group Financial Accounting Manager and will be an integral part of the finance function carrying out transactional work for EMEIA, North America and APAC.  

This would be an ideal role for someone starting their career in Finance who wants to be an integral part of the team processing transactions globally.

Responsibilities:

• Raise purchase orders for the group

• Post purchase invoices for the group

• Group expense approvals

• Post expense journals for the group

• Make payments and post payment journals for the group

• Post ad-hoc journals where required

• Reconcile bank accounts

• Assist with month end processes

• Support with transactional element of audits

• Maintain Zendesk tickets and respond to ad-hoc queries

Must have:

• Eager to learn and take on new challenges

• Basic excel knowledge 

• Team player

• Good communication skills

Desirable:

• Basic double entry knowledge

• Knowledge of UK VAT rules
