My client is a mid sized NZ firm, circa $30M Turnover with approximately 70 staff. The business operates in the IT infrastructure space and has 5 key business streams which the provide services for. The business continues to evolve and grow and can offer a great office environment, working in a hybrid office world based in Albany on the North Shore of Auckland.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to analyze, measure and present key financial and non-financial data to help inform critical planning and decision making whilst measuring business performance.

This requires

• Detailed analysis of the group's revenue and cost streams,
• Analysis of customers, product segment, past performance and assessment of future performance with a view to improving sales, operations and profitability.
• Hold workshops, liaise with all stakeholders within the business gathering requirements, create documentation and process maps
• Support the finance, sales and operational teams in providing data insights
• Analyse and interpret financial and non-financial data to produce statistical information used to assess the present and future performance
• Create KPIs and Dashboards for measuring sales and business performance
• Assist with development of pricing and costing models which assesses impact on profitability and also enhances the ability of sales and operations team to making meaningful commercial decisions
• Customers, Product, White Space and Competitor Analysis
• In conjunction with the CFO, drive fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems
• As Power BI owner in the business, work in Power BI, enhancing Power BI dashboards as per the changing business requirements
• Present recommendations for business improvements
• Complete ad/hoc projects as required

The business is undertaking a significant operational systems upgrade project as well so you will be able to get involved in this project as well.

Your Profile

To be considered for this role, we are looking for a commercially savvy analyst that can understand finance and the commercial aspects of the organisation - ultimately what drives sales, profit & growth. You will enjoy working with large data and be able to manipulate, interpret & present in meaningful ways to both financial & non-financial people. What is really important is this role requires you to have people skills that means you will willingly get into the operations and engage with the stakeholders to be able to deliver to the business. You will hail from a finance background, albeit don't need to be fully qualified.
