Job Details

To provide financial expertise to the manufacturing business through a combination of robust process management and financial insight/analysis. The role will be responsible for the financial performance of all categories within manufacturing at Burton.

Description

  • Provide Leadership to the Plant Finance team and support their development plans.
  • Define and monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Analyse manufacturing and other variances to latest projection, forecast and budget and communicate drivers to management with recommended actions.
  • Partner with and provide insight, analysis and effective business advice regarding commercial performance, cost management and investment decisions to the Operations, Supply Chain and NPD leadership team.
  • Challenge the site leadership team to drive financial performance.
  • Identify and flag financial risks and opportunities to management on a timely basis.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to establish and improve operating processes and performance measurement
  • Coordinate as required with HR on payroll activity, insurance, pension and other services.
  • Deliver all planning, budgeting, forecasting, monthly actuals & year end reporting processes for the site
  • Deliver Finance Training to Non-Finance to support a better decision-making process in all areas.
  • Lead ad-hoc project work to support a continuous improvement approach to all finance routines.
  • Develop continually-improving product costing methodologies for the site

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance as Controller in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience developing and leading annual budget, periodic forecasting, and monthly closing process
  • Strong IT systems aptitude (Excel, Navision, SAP, Outlook, Onestream, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience of maintaining and managing product standard costing
  • Strong Analytical Skills / Business acumen, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to drive and/or support process and system improvements
  • Experience of implementing best practice in terms of stock control and raw materials issue receipt control.
  • Disciplined, self-motivated
  • Attention to detail and accurate reporting
  • Team player
  • Ability to build relationships and key partnerships across a large international organisation.
  • Experience of ERP systems.
  • FMCG experience

Job Offer

Basic salary: £77,000.

Car allowance: £7,560 per annum.

Bonus up to 10%.

Generous holiday entitlement.
