Chief Operating Officer needed for Asset Management Company based in Sandton
An established & International Company based in Sandton is looking for a COO to join their Team. Candidates must have experience working with Financial Services & Asset Management, solid track record and long work histories.
The Company focuses on providing niche financial services in the investment arena. It consists of a group of independent financial service providers and retirement funds, focused on providing competitive and cost effective investment solutions. In addition, the company provides access to a number of registered and approved product solutions and also affords clients the opportunity to create customised / tailored financial solutions for their businesses and clients.
Candidate Requirements:
· Tertiary education and Degree in Accounts and/or finances
· BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA Degree would be beneficial
· 15-10 years experience working in financial investments and asset management
· Good track record, solid work references
· Candidates must be working or have worked in a COO or Senior Management role
· Ability to design and implement business operations
· Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
· Oversee operations of the company and the work of executives
· Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
· Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
· Write and submit reports to the Board of Directors in all matters of importance
· Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
· Manage relationships with partners/vendors
Additional Requirements:
· Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
· Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
· Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
· Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
· Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
· Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
· Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
