RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
  • Staff management, service delivery, profitability and expanding the services offered to current and prospective clients.
  • Responsible to coordinate resources that are insourced through our network of independent consultants, or from our international colleagues in the wider Grant Thornton group, if additional specialist skills should be required

People/Talent
  • Drive the implementation of talent management policies and processes for his/her mentees
  • Ensure the development of his/her mentees in the organisation to be technical experts, to manage talent management processes of his/her mentees including (talent acquisition, succession planning, career management)
  • Comply with the governance structures within the organisation to achieve on the strategies of the organisation
  • Provide strategic direction to the mentees and align people to the strategy
  • Communicate the vision and strategy of the organisation to all mentees and personnel in the service line
  • Implement and monitor performance management processes for his/her mentees including the responsibility for managing out poor performers
  • Set clearly defined KPIs for his/her mentees
  • Manage the capacity requirements of his/her assignments to ensure that the optimal capacity resulting from the engagement planning and strategy process is not exceeded
  • Coach mentees and ensure they become effective business leaders
  • Ensure the development of high performing teams in the service line
  • Assist the service line leader to identify a strong leadership pipeline
  • Assist the service line leader to ensure effective succession planning for the service line
  • Ensure that gearing (Partner to staff) ratio is appropriate on assignments
  • Implement organisations reward and recognition policies
  • Lead and inspire people
  • Identify key areas of strength of the engagement teams on his/her engagements and leverage off those key strengths
  • Manage the performance of the engagement team
  • Capacity building at staff level
  • As and when interaction is required, to meet with the, CEO and the Chairperson
  • Feedback on progress and projects to Head of Assurance on weekly/monthly basis
  • Recruit and retain the best people
  • Recruit specific team members
  • Lead, energise and inspire people
  • Empower staff and train others
  • Mentor others and provide mentors for staff members
  • Manage the performance of staff
  • Set example to staff by living values of SNG and lead from the front

Stakeholder engagement
  • Engage with Managing Director on matters relating to his/her portfolio
  • Engage with internal Policy committee, EXCO and Extended EXCO on matters for which he/she is allocated responsibility as required

  • Work with Managing Director to engage in necessary research and formulate strategic approaches

Specialized technical capabilities:
  • Supports the Development and Implementation on of Cyber Risk Solutions:
  • Ability to lead clients through end to-end design and delivery of targeted, holistic, and sustainable cyber security technology strategy programs.
  • Owns end-to-end delivery of executive level cyber strategy programs across large and complex accounts
  • Builds a brand within a chosen domain and industry and is regarded internally and externally as a subject matter expert
  • Stays current on market trends and regulations, and anticipates risk / opportunities; advises client accordingly
  • Leverages a strong industry knowledge to advise clients on current and potential changes in regulations, cyber threats, and other key trends

Technical competencies:
  • Proven experience winning business, staff development, exceptional delivery, business development, continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated project management skill
  • Analytical skills, agility and the ability to think outside the box.
  • The ability to independently run a project profitability, on time, within budget and at the expected quality.

  • Experience in drafting and presenting to clients

  • Diligence, commitment and a desire to be excellent.
  • Deep knowledge ability to perform:
    • Manage security configurations reviews on operating systems, databases and network devices
    • Manage mobile, complex application, infrastructure, as well as social engineering assessments and penetration testing
    • Managed services cybersecurity awareness training, VAPT, MDR, SOC/SIEM
    • Assist with building, hardening, and maintaining systems used for penetration testing
    • Manage ERP security advisory assignments e.g. SAP
    • Manage and conduct internal and external vulnerability assessment, penetration testing

REQUIREMENTS/ EXPERIENCE:
  • B Com (Information Systems) degree / B.Sc. (Computer Science) or an equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 10 years Cyber Security Experience
  • Experience in a Professional Services firm essential
  • Advanced certifications, diplomas, professional certifications, advanced degrees in Cyber or information security - examples include:
    • CISA (Certified Information System Auditor)
    • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
    • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
    • OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional
    • GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or suitable hands-on experience is required.
  • Experience at a Senior Manager/ Associate Director level
  • Tender experience
  • Business Development, Presentation and Influencing Skills
  • Relevant Performance Management experience
  • Integrated and industry knowledge imperative
