Primary Responsibilities:
  • Direct impact on executive reporting and analysis that will drive decision support and the organization's overall strategy
  • Attend forecast meetings with department leaders and prepare quarterly forecasts and related reporting
  • Independently analyze data related to volume, expense, and cost management to identify future trends for forecasting and budgeting
  • Active preparation and participation in the monthly close process including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast and prior year
  • Advise management clearly and concisely on recommendations and key highlights of analyses
  • Complete and maintain monthly executive reporting
  • Develop driver based financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in Finance, Accounting or related
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel
  • Forecasting and Financial modeling experience
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of advanced budgetary preparation, general ledger research, data manipulation, and variance analysis
  • Ability to take large amounts of data and translate it into valuable analytical and decision support results
  • Hyperion Essbase

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
