Group Credit Manager
The company is considering the appointment of a Group Credit Manager (GCM). As this a new position, reporting to the Risk Director
* *Nature of business*:
* The client is a focussed micro-lender operating out of around 230 branches throughout South Africa.
* They have upwards of 80 000 active debtor accounts.
* The current debtors book is approximately R525 million.
* *Job description and background*:
* The GCM will be part of the Executive Team. As such the GCM will be expected to contribute to the formulation of credit policies and to the strategic direction of the business.
* The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in high-level credit management in a similar or related industry, including banking.
* The candidate must be analytical and have a keen eye for detail.
* The candidate must be able to inter-act with branch field staff and internal auditors.
* Travelling to branches will be part of the job.
