Working in a role where you will be given both autonomy and support to help you flourish this role will support the central functions within the business and see a lot of interaction with the relevant stakeholders. The position requires an individual who is ACA/ACCA qualified, with a few years PQE, who has a thorough working knowledge of FRS & IFRS, with strong interpersonal skills and great communication skills.


The role:
  • Manage the audit process, demonstrating a proactive approach during preparation and throughout the process, whilst managing the relationship with the audit partners
  • Prepare and submit the management accounts and forecasting for a number of entities
  • Manage, train and develop a small team
  • Responsible for the statutory accounting and reporting for the relevant business units
  • Ensure accounting standards and regulations are adhered to
  • Continuously update controls and processes in place
  • Manage ongoing legal entity reduction and rationalisation
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects,, key initiatives, and tracking/reporting

The person:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a few years PQE
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and technically sound statutory knowledge
  • Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Able to adapt your approach and style to your audience
  • Highly organised, proactive in your approach and calm under pressure
  • Able to take ownership, work with accuracy and ensure deadlines are met
  • Previous team management experience
  • Great stakeholder management experience
