Your Job

Managing the Risk Management Group, a centralised unit responsible forensuring all risk across the business are appropriately assessed and managed. These areas are Liquidity risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Credit risk & regulatory capital Provide thought leadership, practical advice and guidance on operational risk management whilst reviewing and approving new business initiativesAssessing the business risk profile and key processes and, where appropriate, act as a catalyst for change.Review and preparation of regular financial risk reports to senior management & committees (currently quarterly)
Collection, analysis, interrogation and challenge of financial risk information from around the GroupMonitoring financial risks around the Group, with a particular emphasis on liquidity and treasury risksAssisting in the formulation and implementation of policies, procedures and methodologies and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements

Your Skills

As the ideal candidate you will have ...

Must have a broad financial risk background You will be an analytical and lateral thinker with problem solving.Accounting qualification. ACA or similarExperience within a banking / risk environment. Could be at a bank, regulator, major accounting or consultancy firm. Breadth of experience across all financial risks will be highly advantageousA genuine interest in financial risk and interrogating and understanding numbers. The role covers a variety of areas and support will be provided, however you will also be expected to be pro-active in your approach to learning and development and to share these learnings with the team, as do all the other team members. This will involve, amongst other things, reading internal documents and carrying out external research
