Join us as a Digital Oversight & Controls Lead

  • You'll lead a team of Digital Controls specialists to manage the risk and controls around our suite of Commercial Banking digital channels
  • We're looking for someone to bring their digital knowledge and expertise to support deep dives and oversight of the risk profile
  • It's an opportunity to proactively collaborate with senior stakeholders across the bank
What you'll do

In your new role, you'll manage control reporting, the delivery of risk assessments, and the interpretation of regulations and policy, making sure there is proactive risk management aligned to customer and business needs and with a digital lens. You'll work closely with senior management to build a proactive risk culture and facilitate the identification and assessment of material risks, and to determine their position relative to agreed appetites.

You'll also:

  • Pro-actively convert the assessment and implementation of risk framework and policy compliance into appropriate strategies and action plans
  • Conduct reviews of controls and support the function to implement an effective controls' framework
  • Take responsibility for the analysis, risk reporting and metrics used to inform decision making
  • Support and regularly engage with relevant stakeholders, including second and third line of defence and risk teams, to help drive knowledge of digital specific risks
  • Support management in facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and key forums, and prepare and issue supporting paperwork
The skills you'll need

To be successful in your role, you'll need prior experience in a digital specific control function, bringing industry best practice. You'll be a highly skilled leader with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context.

In addition, you'll have:

  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies
  • Strong leadership experience and skills
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues to the root cause
  • Significant business and operational experience
