The department

The Corporate team offers specialised services across Janus Henderson globally to support internal functions, advance the business and contribute to our overall mission and goals.

The Finance team operates across all business lines to maximise stakeholder returns. With approximately 80 members globally, the team represents a wide range of expertise and experience, servicing not only the UK, but also Continental Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

Overview of the role

You will assist with the timely delivery of the Group's quarterly consolidated results under US GAAP, statutory reports under IFRS & local GAAP, and preparation of other materials released to market. You will assist with the corporate tax compliance of the UK and European entities. Assist the global tax team to provide corporate tax related support to the UK and international business units in delivering their plans, including support on funding, structuring, M&A activity, transfer pricing and tax risk management.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

    Prepare of quarterly tax provision workings under US GAAP, statutory reporting under IFRS and local GAAP for UK and European entities, and assist with the explanation of the divisional tax profile, variances to forecast, key tax risks, ETR outcomes and tax disclosures.Work closely with the London and Denver team to ensure a smooth consolidation of the Group's tax reporting results.Assist with the management of tax accounts for various entities, including reconciliations and explanations.Manage group's SOX compliance.Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Detailed and practical compliance and reporting knowledge.
  • US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX reporting knowledge desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Accountancy and/or tax qualification.
  • Solid knowledge of UK corporate tax
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Alphatax desirable
  • Some experience of indirect tax desirable
