The business is rapidly evolving, so they need someone who is curious and motivated with a strategic mind. You will be interested in new and emerging financial technology - leading the implementation and training of any new apps, systems, and processes.

Main responsibilities for this Assistant Account position:

  • Daily accounting duties such as bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable
  • Handling purchase orders, accruals, and prepayments
  • Commitment to the management accounts, regularly reporting and providing information to the external FD
  • Line managing the Bookkeeping Administrator, ensuring bookkeeping duties are performed to a high standard
  • Management of the company P&L, analysing reports to optimise financial spending
  • Examining and retaining a sharp comprehension of the Sales & Inventory system, assessing any improvements that can be made
  • Completing bank reconciliations and invoice factoring
  • Ensuring expenses are within the set budget
  • Managing petty cash and posting daily receipts
  • Preparing reports, budgets, records, and statements
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Managing payroll and other HR duties such as absence, holiday recording and employee training management
  • Carrying out the year-end analysis
  • Assisting with the management of the studio/office

Key skills required for this position:

  • Proven experience of working as a Finance Manager
  • Client-side experience, ideally within a retail/consumer products environment
  • Understanding of preparing accounts up to trial balance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate Excel
  • A sharp commercial, analytical mind
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Organised with the desire to support the overall running of a prestigious, creative business!
