FINANCE ASSISTANT

We have an amazing opportunity for an all round account professional who is immediately available. This role is temp to perm for the right person and will offer a great stepping stone in your career. You will have an all round understanding of accounts from payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger and data input with the assistance of a Finance apprentice. This role is ideal for an account assistant of finance assistant who have an understanding of the multiple duties within the account team.

Payroll

• request info from HR and the business (new starters, leavers, overtime etc) and input this into the payroll portal

• check the draft payroll file provided by the system to ensure updates (new starters, leavers, overtime etc) have been processed properly (by comparing to last month)

• answer queries from staff about their payslips

Accounts Payable

• process supplier invoices on to our accounting system (Exchequer), match supplier invoices to purchase orders and deal with invoice queries

• chase up outstanding purchase orders from members of staff in the business

• prepare month-end supplier payment run

• process any ad-hoc urgent supplier payments

Accounts Receivable / Credit control

• chase up outstanding aged debt with customers

• update comments on aged debt report (reasons for late payment)

• update accounting system (Exchequer)
