Our MACS practice is looking for an experienced practitioner to lead our PE team capability. You will have a deep background of working with PE funds and their Portfolio Companies, driving short term value creation initiatives and long term transformation programmes to optimise performance and commercial value from the deal. If you are passionate about working with Investment Execs, Operating Partners and Management Teams of the largest PE funds on their most complex deals, read on!

We bring a systematic and innovative approach to our clients, utilising analytics, digital capabilities and deep sector expertise across all functions of a business. You will act as the bridge between the upfront transaction work and value creation programmes post transaction close to deliver business outcomes.


    Advise senior clients (e.g. Operating Partners, Transformation Directors) on shaping the transformation story and future design of their business to meet strategic and operational objectives Engage with PE clients to understand how they differentiate themselves, the key challenges that their portfolio companies are facing, and how we can support them in addressing these challengesDemonstrate an understanding of how to create commercial and operational value through changes to future operating models (e.g. customer, people, process, technology)Have an understanding of business functions (both front office and back office) and be able to articulate how they collectively interact and work together across the businessWork closely with the Deloitte PE account teams of the largest PE funds to qualify opportunities to bridge from transaction to transformation workBe the conduit between various Deloitte capabilities across Consulting, Advisory, Audit, Tax and other areas to pull the right expertise to deliver value to the clientManage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Coaching and mentoring junior staff, including talent and performance management and recruitment

You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however travel will be required for client based projects. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully.

Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience

  • Extensive experience working with PE, understanding how they are structured, motivations behind the deals, extracting operational value from the assets, and latest trends in the market
  • Experience in shaping, closing and leading large scale programmes and being responsible for delivering business critical outcomes in a time-pressured environment
  • Demonstrative ability to build relationships, recognising the need to adapt communication style and approach to build and maintain effective, sustainable relationships, internally and externally
  • Ability to think innovatively about solving complex business problems, leveraging emerging technologies, data analysis and design-led thinking to shape solutions and drive commercial and operational value
  • A high level of communication skills and experience operating with senior management teams within PE
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel (principally within the UK)
