M Group Services is currently looking to recruit a high performing FP&A Manager to work in our Group Finance Team in Stevenage.
As the FP&A Manager, you will review and analyse divisional reported results and Group overheads. You will create Group reports including the board pack and carry out budgeting and forecasting and process improvement, including owning the Finance Operating Manual.
As the FP&A Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:
Ownership of the monthly Group reporting cycle
Ownership of the monthly board report and investor reporting
Review reported results against forecast, develop insight and analysis, ensuring the provision of forward looking data to enable business decision making
Lead the group wide forecasting and budgeting process
Support the M&A teams and acquired business into M Group Services including tracking synergies
Undertaking detailed/'deep dive' financial analysis using advanced Excel and financial modelling skills to provide business insight and support to ensure the business meets its performance objectives
Cost analysis
Own Order book and contract reporting analysis and improve Group reporting in this area
Own the Finance Operating Manual - analysing and making recommendations for improvement of financial and production processes and driving the implementation of changes
Supporting the implementation of a new chart of accounts to improve group reporting
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), ideally with strong academics and Big 4 background
Post qualified experience in industry, in an FP&A role, in a midsized to large Group
Experience of the infrastructure sector would be advantageous but not essential
Strong systems and Excel skills
Strong PowerPoint and reporting skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly
Committed team player with a proven ability to hit deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships and to use these relationships to get results
The ability to challenge senior stakeholders and operate with appropriate impact and influence
