Selwood and Siltbuster form part of the Workdry Group and are market leaders in Water Filtration and over ground pumping solutions.

To support with our Payroll Operations and to continue with providing an effective payroll service to our stakeholders we have an opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our wider HR Team.

The payroll Officer will be responsible for providing an accurate Payroll administration service for approximately 550 employees, for both weekly and salaried staff. This role will also have the opportunity to be involved in key systems projects in the promotion of continuous improvement to enhance the payroll capabilities within the wider HR team.

The payroll Officer will be responsible for the following:

* Payroll full end to end delivery

* Payroll administration

* HRIS and Metrics

* Payroll Projects

Qualifications, skills & background:

Essential:

* Educated to A Level Standard or equivalent

* A recognised payroll qualification - CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent

* Recent applied experience of running a large, computerised payroll in a busy & complex HR environment - minimum 2 years' experience

* A detailed knowledge of payroll systems, taxation and national insurance; pensions administration and year end processes.

* Fully up to date with current payroll legislation and statutory reporting requirements

* Highly numerate with the ability to understand and accurately process a variety of standard calculations

* IT proficient - experience with databases & Payroll software

* Computer literate - and advanced Excel & Word

* Highly numerate with a systematic approach to problem solving

* Flexible to work the necessary hours to meet the cyclical demands of the position

* Excellent planning, organising & time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and juggle a busy workload and multi-task

* Meticulous attention to detail & accuracy

* Pre-emptive and able to assimilate new information quickly

* Highly diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive matters professionally & confidentially

* Proactive at all times and able to work on own initiative, without supervision to tight deadlines.

* Professional and confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have the ability form effective relationships with people at all levels and to communicate well over the telephone, face to face and in writing.
