Are you an experienced ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Finance Business Partner or FP&A Analyst looking for that springboard step in your career, heading up a multi-million pound project for a FTSE250 bank? If so, you may be in luck...

A FTSE250 bank based in London is taking on a huge multi-year project worth tens of millions of pounds in a massive move for the bank's retail division. They need an experienced finance business partner/FP&A analyst to come in and head the tracking of the project's financials and liaise with key stakeholders and decision makers, including the Retail Finance Director and the Retail Chief Operating Officer, to ensure the project's financial status is effectively communicated and understood throughout the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Acting as a Business Partner to stakeholders, ensuring that information is accurately reflected and that it provides insight into future projects and strategic direction in an ever-changing environment.
  • Gaining a strong understanding of the retail industry to better comprehend the program's major drivers.
  • Development of the business case, which includes continuing investment evaluation and scenario research.
  • Prepare presentations for the Group board that highlight essential messages.
  • Examine and dispute the cost-benefit analysis, making sure that important assumptions are properly documented and supported.
  • Quantify and track project benefits, as well as provide needed reports
  • Oversee the financial reporting and planning process for the programme, with outputs submitted to the programme review board, steering committees, and Bank investment committees.
  • Manage the direct report effectively and give development opportunities as needed.
  • Maintaining the overall Portfolio tracker and forecast spreadsheet
  • Compiling the annual budget and bi-monthly forecasts
  • Performing month-end accounting procedures in SAP, creating accruals as needed based on the latest expected position of each project
  • Monitoring financial targets and performance in accordance with Bank Strategy
  • Act as an approver for project spend
  • Conduct impairment adequacy checks on intangible assets on a six-monthly basis, assessing such things as useful anticipated life

Because of the importance of the project, the successful candidate will have to be up there with the best in their field... and they will be rewarded accordingly with up to £80,000 per annum base salary, on top of which they will receive a bonus and a variety of benefits.
