Accountant: AP & AR Specialist

I am excited to be partnering with a global real estate provider who are devoted towards high growth technology-led businesses. They are looking for an Accountant/ AP & AR specialist.

This role will report to the Financial Accounting Manager and be instrumental in supporting the Finance Director and other business function heads with key decisions surrounding budgeting, cashflow forecasting and business analytics by providing detailed and insightful data.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the purchase ledger including.

o Ordering and reconciling purchase orders

o Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices

o Reconciling and responding to supplier statements and queries

o Raising payments to settle bills


• Full ownership of the sales ledger, including.

o liaising with the sales team and issuing invoices to clients

o chasing outstanding debts

o reconciling the bank accounts


• Supporting the Finance team in the month end closure procedures


• Supporting creation of the monthly management accounts


• Creating bespoke reports used by Senior management to make financial and operational decisions


• Supporting the Financial Accounting Manager with regulatory filing obligations for VAT, PAYE and other taxes


• the ideal candidate will have experience of Xero


• Contribute to the completion of the audit process


• Support the Head of Finance in cashflow forecasting


• Ensure all budgetary decisions and payments are within the limits of authority.

The role is open for either 4 or 5 days per week and to hybrid working 2-3 days in the office.
