We are currently partnered with a well renowned London based accountancy firm who have offices worldwide and specialise in the entertainment & music industry.

They are currently recruiting for two members of staff in their internal finance team. A junior/school leaver with less than 1 years' experience and an accounts assistant with over 2 years' experience.

To be considered for this role the ideal candidate would have been part an internal finance team from a professional services background such as an Accountancy or Law firm.

Role Purpose

Supporting their internal accounting team with the day-to-day bookkeeping. The role has a high level of exposure to UK and international bookkeeping within the group, with an opportunity to progress to a role managing the accounting and bookkeeping for an international office.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping for UK and international entities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices

• Management of purchase ledger

• Reconciliation of expenses, petty cash, bank accounts and credit card statements

• Credit control

• VAT returns

• Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly management reports

• Complete month end reconciliations

• General support and assistance to the team including administrative duties

• Supervision, mentoring and assisting with training of junior staff

Candidate Requirements

• AAT level 3 or above studier who will commit to complete the AAT qualification upon successful completion of probation period

• Relevant work experience of at least two years within an accounting field

• Organisational skills - scheduling and keeping deadlines not only personally but also for the department and client base

• Strong communication and people skills - a positive and approachable attitude directed towards maintaining both client relationships and business networks

• Excellent attention to detail

• Good understanding of UK VAT returns

• Self-motivated

• Dependable and reliable

• Team Player

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

Education and Qualifications

• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent

• Must hold at least a grade B or above in GCSE English and Math's
