Bookkeeper/Office Manager
Thanks to a period of sustained growth we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements.

Virtus Property Management was established in 2016 and has developed a reputation as one of the very best managing agent in the region, looking after some of its best properties, both residential and commercial.

Confidentiality, excellent organisational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Whilst skills are obviously important, experience in property management is not. We are looking for a committed, self-motivated individual who loves delighting clients, getting the job done, seeing results and takes pride in their work and the work of their team.

So what will the successful candidate do?

* Reconcile bank and credit card statements

* Create property reports to track actual and future spend against budget

* Liaise with accountants on year end reporting

* VAT returns

* Payroll and HR functions

* Manage incoming phone calls and correspondence

* Keeping databases up to date

* Company secretarial tasks, confirmation statements, share registers and associated admin

* Create invoices for one-off works as well as bulk invoices for service charges

* Know how to use Xero /Quickbooks inside out as well as being comfortable with other systems that you will need to learn on the job

* General office management including office supplies, photocopier

* Assisting property team with research, communications, meetings

* Data entry and record keeping skills

* Great organisational skills and attention to detail

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Experience in accounts/property (AAT qualified ideally)

* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word & Powerpoint

* Experience of property management would be a bonus but not essential

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full driving license desirable
