Broster Buchanan are working with a high growth, manufacturing business based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire with plans for future expansion. As a result of a change of structure, we are recruiting for a Finance Director, to manage the finance function and lead on all areas of financial reporting. Reporting to the CFO you will have responsibility for financial control and reporting, managing the finance function and transactional team and driving profits and improvements. The Finance Director will be responsible for:

* Accounting and financial control and managing the finance team.
* Preparation of statutory accounts and provision of supporting information. Lead the audit process, managing the finance team and liaising with the external auditors.
* Provision of slides for the Group close of accounts and Regional leadership team meetings, incorporating review and analysis of variances, and reporting to regional management on areas that require attention.
* Sales ledger - Credit control eg. overdue debts, releasing of orders to customers
* Purchase ledger and supplier requirements
* Banking/Cash/Treasury
* Insurance including credit insurance
* Import / export support
* Payroll - including employee contracts, share options
* Responsible for corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE accounting and returns, liaising with the external tax advisors.

To apply for this role you will need to be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountant with at least 5 years post qualified experience ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.

* Team management, both direct reports and indirect
* Knowledge of all aspects of accounting and financial management
* People person with good communication and influencing skills.
* Can conduct meetings with people at all levels of the organization.
* Strong ERP and Excel skills
* High attention to details and works very accurately.
* Manage finance projects.
