Reed Finance has the pleasure of supporting a globally-renowned leader of the academic sector to recruit an FP&A Manager for their offices in central Oxford.

This permanent role will involve reporting to the relevant Business Partners, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and offers very flexible hybrid working as standard as well as ample opportunity to progress.

Key responsibilities include:


• Lead FP&A activities including (but not limited to) reporting, budgeting, forecasting, decision support to provide consistent, accurate and timely output and recommendations to help improve business operations with specific actions.


• Working directly with Business Partners and Divisional management teams on gathering and validating information to support FP&A activities and provide critical thinking to requests


• Developing and run complex reports, models and approaches using analysis and problems solving skills providing recommendations to support projects based on requirements where there may be incomplete or conflicting data


• Analysing financial information to ensure that information is accurate, that provisions are financially sound and correctly allocated, providing detailed explanations on variances that have occurred against budget. Where errors are found provide information and analysis and to Finance Operations to correct the postings.


• Coaching team members in development opportunities required to develop as a Finance professional.

You will need to be a qualified accountant, with excellent systems knowledge and the ability to work as part of a large, multi-layered financial team. Newly qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Salary is £45k-£55k with extensive benefits plus hybrid working. This client is open to applicants from across the UK with the expectation that the successful candidate will work one day per week in the office.
