Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a full time Accounts Assistant for a permanent contract within a manufacturing company located in Gateshead.
The Accounts Assistant will report into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of finance tasks including payroll, credit control and costing.
Roles and Responsibilities; Costing of WIP Preparation of Cost of Sales and Estimates schedule. Maintenance of Sales invoices and Margins analysis. Update of Sales schedule and posting to Sales Ledger. Responsible for weekly payroll of shop floor employees, including the calculation of weekly bonuses from three schemes. Responsibility for the Time and Attendance system and control of the transfer of data into Payroll. Management and reconciliation of all Tax / National Insurance and all other statutory deductions. Raising of Inter-company recharges and Sundry Sales including monthly reconciliation to Trial Balance. Responsible for monthly update of Surcharge schedule. Estimating / Costing and distribution to Sales team and CCT. Monthly preparation of materials cost report and update of Costing system with revised prices. Completion of Government statistic returns. Dealing with Auditor requests. Telephone / Reception duties. Credit control/cash collection from customers.
Skills and Experience; Previous experience in working in accounts/bookkeeping A good understanding IT especially MS Excel is essential Self motivated Good team player Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
