About Our Client
With a heritage dating to 1981, West Sussex based Flotronic Pumps is a worldleading manufacturer of air operated double diaphragm pumps (AODP). With the invention of our ground-breaking 'One Nut' pump design, Flotronic have revolutionised the application of diaphragm pumps throughout the industry. Flotronic has a turnover of c. £5.5m and has recently been acquired by Unibloc - a group with a turnover of $30m. The group is owned by May River Capital who have exciting growth plans for the business over the coming years through increased market penetration in terms of market share and new international markets.
Job Description
Lead the Company's Accounting functions and ensures generally accepted accounting principles are followed. Responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company's reports and statements for submission and consolidation to the Corporate Controller
Detailed Responsibilities
Complete the month and quarter-end close and reporting process.
Provide support for both quarterly and annual internal and external audits.
Make certain accounting transactions and activities follow GAAP or similar standard and adhere to established internal control policies and procedures.
Provide special internal and corporate reporting and analysis as required.
Inventory accounting.
Ongoing AR/AP Tracking and monitoring with leadership to support.
Some light HR administration - Payroll time sheets, vacation tracking, hire paperwork management, employee files
Complete General ledger entries. GL account analyses and reconciliations/Completing monthly accrual entries/Compiling and analyzing monthly financial reports
Participate in companywide continuous improvement and similar quality efforts to help grow the operation.
The Successful Applicant
Strong general accounting experience
Manufacturing experience a plus. Stock/Inventory experience highly desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to be a creative thinker and making decisions to solve unique situations as they arise in a high-growth manufacturing environment.
Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, highly proficient Excel skills a must (e.g. v-lookup, Pivot Tables). Experience and knowledge of leading ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central or SAGE a plus

Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus benefits
