In-House Tax Manager, Financial Services

Remote working

£80,000 + bonus & benefits


A growing financial services business is seeking managerial support in the organisation of the tax function, stemming from a continuous period of M&A and expansion into new territories. Reporting directly to the Group Tax Director, the successful candidate will collaborate with a high-performing team which continues to work from home moving forwards.


The business is headquartered in London, however, the inbound employee would not be expected to travel into the office more than once a month on average. Responsibilities will include working closely with and supporting the Group Tax Director on a full variety of tasks, including but not limited to:


  • Supporting on the oversight and preparation of tax accounting and reporting (IFRS)
  • Design, implementation and testing of tax risk governance frameworks and controls
  • A varied ad-hoc element to the ongoing management of corporate finance activity from a tax perspective; with the Group Tax Director, collaborating with and supporting corporate finance and commercial stakeholders on tax strategy and acquisitions; vendor tax due diligence
  • Supporting on international tax developments (PE risks, DPT), including working with the transfer pricing lead on strategy implementation and documentation, reviewing and improving as necessary
  • Providing advice to various business units and implementing technical advisory from outsourced advisors
  • Managing relations external advisors and facilitating discussions with tax authorities


The successful candidate

  • ACA/CTA/ADIT qualification essential
  • Likely bringing 1-2 years' in-house experience - financial experience preferred
  • Solid grounding in UK corporate tax and tax accounting essential - international tax advisory experience/M&A exposure advantageous
  • The right to work in the UK is essential
