Banking Operations Manager - Job Overview
As a Banking Operations Manager your duties will include;
* Internal Control Responsible for development, maintenance and resilience of internal control programs and processes
* Monitoring Ensure Operations and other activities are regularly reviewed and are in compliance with current (and anticipated) external UK regulations, guidelines and expectations
* Assurance Undertake periodic assessment to test the overall effectiveness of Operations processes in order to meet UK regulatory requirements and to undertake gap analysis as necessary to ensure controls are sufficient and enhanced as appropriate
* Efficiency Recommend and implement new local operations control activities, policies and processes to enhance framework to provide best in class services to all of the Banks customers
* Internal Security Maintain and review Operations internal security.
* Leadership - Lead, coach and develop an Operational team to ensure that they are providing the best experience for the Banks customers.
* Training and Awareness Coach and develop and support Operations team training and development to build a robust control and conduct culture to minimise potential losses
Banking Operations Manager - Skills & Experience Required
* Good working knowledge of process design and bank's policies, procedures and operating systems with appreciation of external regulatory environment to support delivery of a local pragmatic risk based approach
* Recent experience working with savings accounts and loans products as an operations manager with a track record of successful delivery
* Recruiting, managing and motivating an operations team
* Experience managing an online savings account offering and the customer journey
* Retail banking background with a strong understanding of UK regulation
