Senior Sustainability Consultant -Advisory
Remote with UK wide focus
The Gleeds Sustainability team partner provide expert impartial advice which helps clients solve increasingly demanding sustainability requirements in the most cost-effective way. At the same time, we help our clients capitalise on the benefits of high sustainable performance.
The team currently provides a range of services including BREEAM Assessments, SKA Assessments, CEEQUAL Assessments, Sustainability Statements, Energy Assessments, Life Cycle Assessments, Life Cycle Costing and Critical Analysis Assessments, Energy Auditing and Strategic Energy Partner procurement.
We are looking for dynamic and solution focused individual to join the team as a Senior Sustainability Consultant on a permanent basis. This role can be based anywhere in the UK and will be tied to a local Gleeds UK office, our preference would be London/Bristol/Nottingham/Birmingham.
The key responsibilities this role will have are:
- Developing the business and exploring opportunities.
- Servicing existing clients and contracts.
- Inputting into bids and responding to bid queries.
- Presenting to clients and internal teams on sustainability issues.
- Help develop and evolve internal processes and outputs.
There is significant scope for the individual to grow and take their abilities and skills to the next level.
We are looking for someone with:Similar experience of working in sustainability roleProven business development skills and abilitiesBREEAM Experience (preferably a licensed BREEAM assessor and / or BREEAM Accredited Professional status)Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant discipline A good understanding of the wider sustainability issues surrounding the construction industry
In addition to the above the following would be beneficial (but not essential):Understanding/qualifications in energy modelling/management - e.g. domestic or non-domestic EPCUnderstanding or qualification in other certification schemes - e.g. LEED, CEEQUAL, WELL and SKADiverse range of sector experience (e.g. Health, Education, Industrial etc)Other skills/capabilities - e.g. ISO 14001 certification, environmental assessment etcMembership of a professional organisation - e.g. MIEMA
