Your Opportunity

Our M&A Consulting team is looking for a M&A-focused Manager with experience in delivering deals across the M&A life-cycle for clients in Life Sciences and Healthcare with focus on solving our clients' top challenges during M&A readiness, execution of integration or separation, ideally in either Pharma or Med-devices. You will have an understanding of the industry and experience in creating and delivering sustainable value in deal situations. You will have experience in helping to inform the M&A strategy for clients and in carrying out execution post transaction close to deliver business outcomes. Your Role

We are looking for people who bring strategic experience with client operations or supply chain functions including experience of managing such functions through the M&A deal lifecycle for acquisitions, divestitures and integrations. Experience in the TMT, consumer goods or industrial sectors are particularly relevant. Candidates with experience of working with senior operations staff including COO, CPO, CSCO and CFOs of Global 100 organisations on complex M&A transactions should read on!

Responsibilities

    Help develop and manage senior M&A client relationships in relation to Supply Chain & Operations and work with senior Deloitte colleagues to develop new business opportunities.Support clients to identify and capture the value in their upcoming M&A deals including the definition of operational synergies and future operating model enhancementsLead the methodical planning and implementation of integration and separation projects that deliver a future fit supply chain function after the date of separation or integration ('Day 1')Lead and support committed teams to:

Location:
You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however travel will be required for client projects. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully.

Work Pattern: This is a permanent role with a degree of flexibility. We do encourage careful consideration of agile ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients.

Your professional experience

  • Experience of delivering the integration or separation of a supply chain
    function (or element thereof) during an M&A transaction, either as an external consultant or in an in-house corporate strategy role
  • Experience of delivering post-merger operational restructuring, to deliver cost synergies and/or the integration of operations capabilities
  • Supply chain and operations industry experience gained through either delivering consulting assignments for large scale clients or in management roles within an operations, supply chain, manufacturing, contract manufacturing (CMO) environment or sourcing and procurement
  • Proven business development and sales experience
  • Experience leading project teams and being responsible for delivering business critical outcomes in a time-pressured environment
  • Knowledge of process definition and process mapping, requirements gathering and prioritisation built through project work
  • High level of knowledge, comfort and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and report writing skills, as well as broad consulting skills which should include interviewing, data analysis and facilitation of client workshops
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel (principally within the UK)
