Your New Role
With a start up type feel, you'll be the 2nd member of the growing finance team, working directly for the CFO - and covering a bit of everything. You'll be across financial and management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, board reporting, ASX reporting, a bit of tax oversight (external firm at your disposal), treasury, and even low volume AP, AR duties. Initially your role is stand alone (no direct reports), so you'll roll up your sleeves accordingly. Given the wide scope of your role, there isn't an aspect of finance you won't be involved in, great for the all-rounder / multi-skilled accountant.

Your Profile
Uniquely, the executive team is more interested in the person than the profile and happy to train if you have the right attitude and career trajectory. You can learn on the job, but have a baseline of reasonable accounting knowledge of Australian Compliance requirements, exposure to ASX reporting through practical experience, and an keen interest in the mining sector. You are hungry to develop your skills, take pride in your work, and like to own your responsibilities. You won't need to work crazy hours, you are an efficient professional, and always looking at ways to do things better, improving and automating as you go.
