About the role

The Courts Technology Group is responsible for the delivery and operation of all court and judicial applications and for the provision of training and helpdesk facilities. We are seeking Business Analysts who join an existing team in the development, enhancement and ongoing support of our leading-edge applications.

Eligibility to Apply

The successful applicants will have considerable knowledge of courts business or considerable experience in business analysis on large IT projects.

About you

We're looking for applicants who:
  • Have strong problem-solving ability;
  • Can assess and analyse business requirements and ensure developed functionality meets those requirements;
  • Can well communicate with a diverse team of business users, testers, developers and management;
  • Can well manage a team of testers; and
  • Have either considerable experience in business analysis within IT projects or considerable experience in court processes.

All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.

COVID-19 Advice

Applicants are advised that all employees who are required as part of their employment to enter any Department of Justice correctional facility (prisons, work camps, Banksia Hill Detention Centre or the Corrective Services Academy) will need to have their first COVID-19 vaccination dose by 1 December 2021 and be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022.

To be considered for employment in a role that requires entry to Department of Justice correctional facilities, applicants will need to provide evidence of their vaccination status. Pool Recruitment

This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Fixed term, full-time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise, however an appointment is not guaranteed.

The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.

Currently, there are four fixed term opportunities available for immediate filling.
