The Role

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to support the data domains in maintaining effective governance over its data products, through the identification and assessment of risk, considering all domain relevant legislation across all IAG jurisdictions, regulatory and compliance requirements ,both current and emerging, internal policies and commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead efficient and effective risk management practices within the product teams.
Contribute to projects, initiatives, remediation, and continuous improvement activity, by providing advice and delivering governance over the domain data products
Collaborate on Internal and External Audit engagements within the domain
Support federated data decisioning activities and provide data stewardship and governance advice to business/product owners
Conduct data usage or risk assessments, or support self-assessments, with respect to the appropriate use of data, data privacy and commercial agreement assessments against requests from business, risk, compliance and other operational teams
Advise and guide the appropriate data stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of business metadata in the enterprise business glossary
Provide advice on the implementation of data quality and data integrity controls of the domain data products
Awareness and compliance with the Group Delegations & Authorities Policy
Awareness and compliance with the Group Data Governance Framework & Policies
Liaise with data owners and stewards and contribute to the case for change regarding data quality issues
Collaborate with L1 risk to investigate and resolve risk events and issues.

Skills & Experiences

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Governance within the Financial Services Industry
Demonstrable competence with legislation relevant to Insurance including privacy principles
Industry or specialist qualifications within data governance and/or risk management field
Effective communication and intrapersonal skills
Driven, resilient and enthusiastic team player
Outcome focused and commitment to achieving
Strong partnering capabilities
Growth mindset.
