Job Details

Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• Every Product Owner is assigned specific module(s) from the existing product portfolio. You will be expected to quickly learn and grasp the functioning of the existing product and serve as the first point of contact, consultant for project teams and management regarding existing documented product features and business requirements they serve.
• Grow the assigned module in line with industry and customer demands
• As product owner major part of your responsibility would be to,
• Interface with different stakeholders on product backlog (Product Managers, customer and sometime other project stakeholders) to understand, analyze, interpret and identify correct business requirements.
• Define functional scope, issues and workable solutions for each Product Increment (PI) sprints. (Refer Safe Agile framework)
• Write both high-level functional specifications and detailed user stories based on the clients’ (internal or external) request. Conduct interviews/reviews with subject matter experts and the technical team to bring out a clear and precise documentation.
• Understand the impact of changes that might have on the product / program and be able to guide the solution accordingly thus maximizing the benefit and value that can be achieved. Explore multiple options and choose wisely.
• Clearly communicate related changes and risks to the project team and management
• Ensure product functional specification documents are complete, current and archived appropriately
• Participate in writing and/or review of product document materials as needed
• Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to assist scrum teams developing the functions related to your module and test business functionality once developed. Review QC cases and processes and quality assurance testing. Raise concerns sighted on quality of the deliverables. In short Accountable for functional acceptance testing of deliverables
Required Skills and Experience:
• 4 to 6 years’ experience, preferably including work with a financial software vendor and hands-on at a commercial bank
• Expertise on transaction banking areas like Cash Management, Check Processing, Payables and Receivables and Liquidity management solutions offered by Banks.
• Working knowledge and experience in Agile software development methodologies
• Capability to describe and communicate a process, system and/or product in an organized professional document
• Be knowledgeable in documentation process, including writing, editing, graphics, production, help system authoring and information design
• Experience working independently and as well as within a team
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to communicate with senior technical and management team
• Experience working with developers and discussing possible design options, lateral and design thinking skills
• Extensive experience with business analysis and translating business requirements into functional specifications
• Proven track record of delivering against tight deadlines with high quality under pressure
• Knowledge of FCM or any past experience working with iGTB, Nucleus, FinnAxia would be added advantage.
