The Manager - Contracts Management GBSS, will be accountable for overall life cycle management of vendor and customer contracts involving contract drafting, reviews, cross-functional discussions, renewal reminders, renewal and contract compliance
The individual would be expected to ensure adherence to global policies & shared services operating procedures, work towards improving SLA&rsquos and KPI&rsquos as agreed upon by the business, providing root-cause analysis and risk mitigation action plans where gaps may arise.

The individual would be expected to ensure adherence to global policies & shared services operating procedures, work towards improving SLA&rsquos and KPI&rsquos as agreed upon by the business, providing root-cause analysis and risk mitigation action plans where gaps may arise.
Some of the key roles and responsibilities are:
- Understand the nature of the deal and accordingly suggest legal, commercial, performance related terms and conditions (contracts for 3rd Party, LL, Customer, Sub Contracting, Service Contracts, Works Contracts)
- Draft all commercial contracts, highlight high-risk areas, discuss with the Supply chain, sales, legal team to get it mitigated
- Act as a coordinator between various teams within Piramal to reach to a consensus
- Analyze customer and/or supplier company requirements for contract amendments, responses to customer and/or supplier identified issues
- Participate with Piramal&rsquos SCM and Sales team in discussion with vendor&rsquos or customer&rsquos legal team
- Prepare standard contract templates/NDA templates/Bank guarantee templates for each category of service/products purchase or sale. From time to time review the existing Piramal templates to incorporate changes due to changes in the internal and external environment
- Prepare and maintain a central repository of the existing contract and ensure access to a selected group of users for confidentiality
- Track the validity date of a contract and work with the cross-function team to timely renew/terminate contracts
- Maintain continuous surveillance of status and progress of the contract and potential areas of difficulty
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine actions to rectify contract noncompliance
- Understands both strategic and operational goals and translate them into effective contracting practices
- Improve turn around time to finalize the contract
- Support Supply chain to invoke any Bank guarantee due to performance issues or draft legal notices
- Work with SCM team to track whether purchase/sale is done as per contract rate
- Be Part of change Management to ensure most regular/high value/strategic purchases as well as sales are covered under the contract
- Identify suitable Contract management Software and implement the same across Piramal locations and be responsible for operations for the same
The candidate must have:
- A Bachelor&rsquos degree in law and preferably a Masters degree along with 6 to 8 years of experience in customer, supply and service contract management and administration, preferably in the Pharma industry
- Ability to negotiate for terms and conditions that are favourable for Piramal while within the boundaries of the land of law
- In-depth knowledge of commercials, risk assessment, regulations & legal aspects of contracts
- Understanding of the Indian, US and European land of Law
- Core Knowledge:knowledge of supply chain, basis understandingof income tax and GST tax laws, operational concept understanding of tool like lean six sigma and other business optimization techniques is desirable
- Soft skills like good presentation, verbal and written communication skills, goodlistening, analytical mind, ability to work in a cross-functional organization and an automation mindset
- Technological Know-how: Demonstrates working knowledge with MS Office suite of software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Outlook
