My client in Avon is looking for a determined, well-spoken, energetic, team player who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and lead! Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day accounting duties and general office management for 2 manufacturing sites
- Support accounts payable and receivable activity
- Sales Order, Invoice, & Credit processing
- Pre-Approve daily AP invoices for Manager final approval
- Process Freight invoices and backup Purchasing Order receiving
- Receive and reconcile Intercompany Transfers
- Month and year-end closings and supporting with audits and other external reviews
- Coordinate inventory counts together with management
- Prepare, run and review reports and other analysis for business management
- Maintain office files and records and provide support to internal & external customers with respect to billing inquiries
- Other duties, projects, and backup as assigned
- Travel is less than 10%, however there is travel expected to another manufacturing site within New York at minimum 1x a month.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate's degree, preferably in Accounting/Business, or equivalent in a combination of experience, training and education
- 2-5 years hands on experience in accounting functions
- Solid understanding of general accounting - GAAP
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment, multi-task, and prioritize to meet deadlines by thorough problem solving, work effectively under stress and take direction
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented and accurate, must have excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and outlook on work, business relationships, goals/objectives and expected performance, must be customer service oriented, both internally and external
- Intermediate Excel skills in addition to Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to continue education, and grow personally and professionally
