Job Details

As the Finance Manager - 12 Month FTC, you will oversee the Finance Team and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Client Details

My client is a well-established business operating in the Not-For-Profit sector. They are based in Brighton with parking available on-site, but the role will involve occasional travel to a Seaford site.

Description

As the Finance Manager - 12 Month FTC, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the main Finance Team
    • Managing workloads and deadlines
    • Probation and annual reviews
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reports -
    • Profit and Loss Accounts / Balance Sheet
    • Prepayments / accruals
    • Ownership of the GL
    • Monthly / ad-hoc journals
    • Balance Sheet and bank reconciliations
    • Cash Flow
  • Assisting with forecasting
  • Assisting with annual budget preparation
  • Budget reports and variance analysis
  • Fixed asset control
  • Preparation for year-end and statutory accounts
  • Audit preparation
  • Income recognition, invoicing and credit control
  • Income costing calculations
  • Ad-hoc reports and investigation of financial queries
  • Completion of financial returns e.g. grants, ONS, pay, ESFA, LAs,
  • Oversight of Payroll
  • Review and update of financial policies and procedures

Profile

To be successful in your application for Finance Manager - 12 Month FTC, you should be:

  • Experienced in a similar role managing a small team.
  • Experience in Not-For-Profit helps but not essential.
  • Able to travel to Brighton office, with occasional need to travel to Seaford.
  • Available to start in January ideally.
